많은 대학에서 일반 석사 과정과의 Joint program을 제공하고 있습니다. 두 가지 과정을 같이 해나갈 때의 장점은 MBA가 제공하는 Business Skill 이외에도 해당 전공 분야의 In-depth knowledge를 얻을 수 있다는 데 있습니다.
반면 단점으로는 기간이 길어지고, 비용이 많이 들며, 무엇보다도 공부 이외의 여러 가지 특별 활동 및 동료 학생, 교수들과의 교류를 중시하는 B-school 과정에서 그러한 부분들이 상대적으로 소홀해지리라는 우려가 있습니다. 따라서 이러한 Joint Degree를 원하는 경우에는 해당 전문 지식이 MBA와 더불어 향후 자신의 Career Goal을 성취하는데 반드시 필요하겠다라는 판단을 해야 할 것 같습니다.
입학을 위해서는 B-school과 다른 대학원에서 각각 입학 허가를 받아야 하며 경우에 따라 GMAT과 GRE 점수가 모두 요구될 수 있습니다. 다음은 각 학교별로 실시되고 있는 Joint degree를 살펴본 것입니다.
